Youth
One thing you will notice when visiting the Sullivan Village church of Christ is how much we love children. Each one is special to God and must be trained how to worship God, work in the church, and walk the Christian walk. They learn this by watching their parents, older children, other adults, and being involved in it from the earliest possible stages of life.
Our children are being trained to become the servants and leaders of the future. We believe strongly that children need to be as much a part of the worship assembly as any adult. God wants all of His people gathered together in the worship service.
- Proverbs 22:6 - “Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
- Ephesians 6:4 - “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
- Psalm 119:9 - “How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.”
